Mistakenly released Johnson Co. inmate back in custody

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A mistakenly released Johnson County inmate is back in custody.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Blaine Hansen was released from the Johnson County Jail in late July.

He was due to serve a year and a half at the Department of Corrections.

Deputies said Hansen is currently incarcerated in Marion County.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s office said they are unsure of the clerical error that lead to Hansen’s early release.
