Walker spots marijuana plants along Monon Trail

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person walking on the Monon Trail stumbled upon multiple marijuana plants Saturday.

Police were called to the trail near the 3300 block of Sutherland Avenue around 1:30 p.m.

A responding officer confirmed the plants in a field close to the trail, according to an IMPD report.

A narcotics detective and other officers were called and discovered nine marijuana plants in pots and one that was planted in the ground.

The plants were taken to the IMPD narcotics vault.

The trail user was not identified.
