Man arrested after fleeing crash scene
MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – One person was arrested after fleeing the scene of a crash on State Road 13 in Madison County.
According to Indiana State Police, a 2003 Dodge Durango, driven by Christopher Clouse, was traveling southbound off of I-69 when it ran a stop sign at State Road 13 around 9:30 a.m.
The Durango then struck a 2011 Chevy Silverado driven by Frederick Gray.
ISP said that after the accident Clouse left the accident scene on foot, running into a nearby wooded area.
After arriving on scene, police began searching the area for Clouse and he was found about an hour later, around 10:30 a.m.
Clouse was taken into custody and transported to the Henry County Jail.
He faces preliminary charges for leaving the scene of an accident and operating a vehicle while never being licensed. Police also discovered that Clouse had a warrant out of Henry County for failing to appear for operating a vehicle while never being licensed and another warrant for a probation violation for conspiracy to sell heroin.
