IMPD: 12 year old with gun arrested, said he was going to shoot officers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Authorities have taken a 12-year-old boy into custody for threatening people with a pistol.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the boy was pointing the gun at passing vehicles.

The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Kessler Boulevard North Drive.

Upon arrest, he reportedly threatened to shoot officers in the head, stating that he has an AR-15 and other guns.

IMPD said he faces two preliminary charges of intimidation.
