Employee struggles with suspect in Pizza King robbery

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Pizza King on Teal Road late Thursday night.

According to a release, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the restaurant around 11 p.m. A Pizza King employee told police a man pointing what appeared to be a gun approached him outside the business’ back exit.

Police said after the employee struggled with the man, another man came out from behind a wall and punched the employee.

The release states the two men stole money and were seen leaving the area in a blue Ford truck.

The employee was not injured during the incident.
