Investigation leads to New Castle man’s arrest for child molestation

NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) – A New Castle man was arrested Friday evening for child molestation.

According to the Indiana State Police, 46-year-old Rodney Boyd was taken into custody around 5 p.m. Friday.

Police said Boyd’s arrest is the result of an investigation that started in May after an adult female came forward and alleged that Boyd started touching her inappropriately as a juvenile, behavior that the victim said lasted until she reached adulthood.

After his arrest, Boyd was transported to the Henry County Jail.  According to ISP, the Henry County Prosecutor has charged Boyd with a number of charges including child molesting, sexual misconduct and multiple counts of child seduction.

No bond has been set for Boyd.
