Indy’s beep baseball team honored at Victory Field

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Fresh off a win at the National Beep Baseball Association World Series, the Indy Thunder were honored at Victory Field on Monday.

The Thunder is a baseball team for the blind and visually impaired.

Beep baseball involves a ball about the size of a softball that beeps.

The team took home top prize at the World Series in Aimes, Iowa.

An Indianapolis team hasn’t won the tournament since 1990.

They were recognized Monday night before the Indianapolis Indians game.
