Crops in Montgomery County damaged in storms

MACE, Ind. (WISH) – Wednesday afternoon storms hit central Indiana hard.

In Howard County, a Starbucks was flattened and  in Mace, a town in Montgomery County, crops were damaged.

Several hundred acres of corn were blown over by the strong winds. One farmer reported having his nearly four hundred acres of farmland affected by the winds.

Crews are currently on scene assessing the damage.

Around 5:30, it was reported that the entire town of Mace was without power.

The Montgomery County Sheriff reported no injuries related to the storm.
