Fire leaves around $30k in damages to house on east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Firefighters are investigating the cause of an early morning fire on Friday.

Fire officials say the fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Friday on Rawles Avenue. That’s on the east side near South Arlington Avenue and English Avenue.

No one was injured in the fire, but neighbors believed someone was in the home when they called 911.

Officials have not said if the home was occupied at the time of the fire, but the toys around the house indicate that this might not be a vacant home.

Firefighters estimate the damage at around $30,000.

The fire started at the back of the house and spread to the attic.
