Firefighter injured in Noblesville fire

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – A firefighter was injured in an early Sunday morning fire in Noblesville.

According to the Noblesville Fire Department, crews responded to calls of a residential fire in the 12200 block of Braddock Lane just after 1 a.m.

After arriving on scene, flames were discovered coming from the roof of the two-story structure.  Crews immediately began fighting the flames and were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes after arrival.

Those living in the home did manage to escape unharmed.  However, a firefighter was treated at the scene for heat exposure and was then transported to Riverview Hospital in good condition.

A second home in the area did sustain moderate exterior damage as a result of the flames.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
