INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Thousands of people across Central Indiana remain without power.
As of 10 a.m. Sunday, Duke Energy had 341 customers without power in the Kokomo area. IPL said late Sunday afternoon a “small group” of customers on the northeast side of Indianapolis remained out of service due to the weather.
IPL says it has 460 people working on restoring power.
A spokesperson for Duke Energy said restoration is taking longer than anticipated because crews continue to find additional damage to the lines and system. Crews and contractors worked through the night Saturday and hoped to have power restored sometime on Sunday.
