INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One man has been arrested after a chase and a pair of crashes on the city’s northeast side.

Indiana State Police arrested a man following a chase that ended near 82nd Street and Castleway Drive in Castleton.

According to ISP, a trooper sitting stationary on I-69 was using license plate reading technology that alerted him to a person wanted for robbery. The trooper caught up with the vehicle as it exited I-69 onto 82nd Street and initiated a traffic stop with another officer that was in the area. When the troopers exited their vehicles, the suspect took off. The chase then began on westbound 82nd Street.
