Police investigate overnight robbery in West Lafayette

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Purdue and West Lafayette police responded to a report of a strong armed robbery around 2:15 Friday morning.

Police said the victim was walking on Northwestern Avenue when she was robbed somewhere between Lindberg Road and Cherry Lane. She then flagged down an officer at Cherry and Northwestern.

The victim told police a male wearing a ski mask approached her from behind and put his arm around her neck, then demanded and took her wallet.

Police say the victim was not injured.
