Family, friends gather 2 years after teen’s murder

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A celebration of life was held Saturday for a 15-year-old girl murdered in Indianapolis.

Dominique Allen was killed two years ago. Friends and family came together to pray and remember her.

A new bench created in her honor at Haughville Park was also unveiled.

The park is one of the last places Allen was seen before her murder. An organization called He Knows Your Name donated the bench.

Her family called Saturday a “new chapter,” and they hope the bench inspires and comforts others.

Allen’s convicted killer, William Gholston, has been sentenced to 84 years in prison.
