GOP, Democratic candidates to crisscross Ohio on Labor Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – The GOP and Democratic presidential and vice presidential candidates are all paying swing-state Ohio a Labor Day visit.

Republican nominee Donald Trump is joining running mate Mike Pence at a Monday morning round-table discussion with union members in Cleveland. Trump is also expected to campaign at a fair in Canfield in suburban Youngstown.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and running mate Tim Kaine will also be in Cleveland for a Labor Day festival.

Former president Bill Clinton will headline the annual AFL-CIO Labor Day picnic near Cincinnati.

Both Hillary Clinton and Trump are expected to be frequent visitors to battleground Ohio over the next two months.

No Republican has become president without winning Ohio and only two Democrats have done so in the last century.
