Person shot in critical condition on city’s northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person has been transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition after being shot in the face.

Police said the man was also shot in the leg, and was able to provide police with a statement before being transported.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of East 38th Street.

Authorities say the victim, a 28-year-old man, is expected to survive their injuries.

No word yet on any possible suspect information.
