FOP issues endorsement in the race for Attorney General

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Republican candidate for Attorney General picked up a key endorsement Wednesday.

Curtis Hill now has the backing of the Fraternal Order of Police. Hill is a four term prosecutor in Elkhart County who is hoping to succeed retiring Attorney General Greg Zoeller.

“You don’t do the prosecutor thing 4 times without doing a good job,” said Bill Owensby of the FOP, “and that’s what really brought his name to the forefront talking to our peers in northern Indiana.”

“In this state, in this country, we need to take a stronger role in recognizing the value of police and what they’ve done for this nation,” said Hill.

Hill is running against Democrat Lorenzo Arredondo, a former judge in Lake County.
