Dori Sparks-Unsworth, Executive Director of Pink Ribbon Connection and Jeanne Rush, Owner of The Secret Ingredient are here to showcase a very special event happening October 1st. Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Indianapolis will put everyone “in the pink,” and Pink Ribbon Connection is kicking off the special month in style.
The annual Pink Ribbon Connection Stars of Pink breast cancer survivor fashion show is the single largest fundraiser for Pink Ribbon Connection, funding the not-for-profit’s free programs and services. With almost 1,000 attendees, the luncheon features a fashion show professionally produced by The Secret Ingredient boutique, which provides all the fashions for Pink Ribbon Connection’s breast cancer survivor runway models.
For more than 20 years, Pink Ribbon Connection has helped meet the basic needs of breast cancer survivors, including emotional support, wigs and prosthetics, information and resources – all local and free of charge.
Stars of Pink Breast Cancer Survivor Fashion Show is 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 at Indianapolis Marriott downtown. Tickets are = $75/each and can be purchased online at pinkribbonconnection.org or by calling 317-255-PINK (7465).
The fashion show will be emceed by Kris Kirschner, and fashions from The Secret Ingredient will be available for sale in a special boutique at the event, with a portion of the proceeds going to Pink Ribbon Connection. Door prizes from McGee & Company Fine Jewelers and Elan Furs will be awarded to lucky guests.
