US disaster loans approved for Kokomo after tornadoes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Low-interest disaster loans are now available for Howard and surrounding counties after several tornadoes were reported on Aug. 24.

Governor Mike Pence made the announcement on Thursday that residents, businesses and certain non-profit organizations through the U.S. Small Business Administration will available in Howard, Cass, Carroll, Clinton, Tipton, Grant and Miami counties.

Loans for businesses and organizations are for up to $2 million for damage repair and replacement. For small businesses and small agricultural cooperatives the SBA will offer Economic Injury Disaster Loans.

Citizens can apply for loans up to $200,000.
