WISH-TV’s partner ‘Pink-4-Ever’ raises thousands for those battling breast cancer

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – WISH-TV’s community partner, Pink-4-Ever, raised money for the emergency assistance fund for individuals in active treatment for breast cancer.

The organization raised raised $19,821 at it’s 6th Annual Simply Pink Fashion Show on Sunday, August 21.

The money will be used for financial assistance, medical costs, basic human needs, and to lessen financial burdens.

Some of the supporters and sponsors of the organization include:

  • The Lumina Foundation
  • Marion County Public Health Department

“With the most humble and grateful hearts, the Pink-4-Ever Board of Directors extends our sincere thanks to the Greater Indianapolis community, our sponsors, supporters, families and friends. Due to your extreme generosity, Pink is able to bless those individuals, in our local communities, who help tell our story,” Pink’s Executive Director, Nadia Miller said.

The fashion show included local fashion icons and the latest fashions by well-known designers. In addition, there was the annual silent audition which drew bids for:

  • Tiffany & Co
  • Michael Kors
  • Elan Furs
  • Packages from The Children’s Museum, Dance Kaleidoscope, St. Elmo’s Steakhouse, the Sybaris and more

WISH-TV and Pink-4-Ever have partnered to bring awareness to the community about the resources for breast health education, life with breast cancer, and living like a survivor.

“Through the organization’s Emergency Assistance Program, its able to provide meals, help with rent or mortgage payments, provide gas cards for transportation to and from treatment, or meet any other basic need of that family. It is all about helping that family through a stressful time,” Pink’s Executive Director Nadia Miller said.

WISH-TV is helping Pink bridge that gap by helping to extend the message across millions of viewers in the local and surrounding communities.
