Kids participate in first ‘Mini-Mini’ at IMS

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – There weren’t cars on the track at IMS on Saturday afternoon, instead there were lots of little feet.
The 500 Festival put on its first “Mini-Mini” race for kids from five years old to 12 years old.
It’s the first and only youth run to happen at the Speedway.
One of the participants 24-Hour News 8 talked with said he had his run all strategically planned out to jog as fast as he could to the finish line.
After the race all of the kids got a medal and had some fun in the celebration zone.
