IMPD sergeant sings national anthem at Colts home opener

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A hometown hero helped kick off the Colts’ game Sunday. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Sergeant Chris Wilburn sang the national anthem.

Across the country other 9/11 tributes took place at other NFL games.

Former President George W. Bush threw the coin toss at the Cowboy’s game in a New York fire department hat.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Green Bay Packers joined first responders and members of the military to hold the flag on the field. Other teams stood arm in arm during the national anthem.
