IMPD searching for person of interest after fatal shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police are looking for a person of interest who is wanted for questioning.

According to IMPD, detectives are asking the public to help locate 26-year-old Robert Drake of Indianapolis. He is only wanted for questioning at this time in regard to an argument that turned deadly.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on the 1100 block of North Kealing Avenue on Sept. 6 just after 9 p.m.

When officers arrived on scene they found a male unresponsive that had been shot at least once. Medics pronounced the victim dead on scene.

After investigation, detectives learned two men got into an argument outside of a home that ended with one man shot and killed. The suspect then fled in a four door silver vehicle.

Police do not think this incident is connected to the homicide that happened in the 1000 block of North Kealing.
