Indiana State Police welcome 6 new K-9s
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indiana State Police held a ceremony Friday morning to welcome six new K-9 units.
The event was held at the Indiana State Police Museum on East 21st Street.
Six ISP troopers were trained to take in the K-9s as their new partners.
One of the troopers and their K-9 will be assigned to the Indiana School for the Deaf.
One trooper said working alongside a dog is a dream come true.
During the event, a trooper shared a special moment when dropped to one knee and proposed to his girlfriend. We’re pleased to report she said yes.
