DENVER, Co. (WISH) – The Indianapolis Colts fell to the Denver Broncos Sunday afternoon.

The Colts were looking to rebound after dropping the season opener against the Detroit Lions last week at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Lions victory over the Colts came on a field goal in the waning seconds of the game, which turned out to be a high-scoring affair.

The defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos, on the other hand, are coming off a week one win over Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers.

At halftime,  the Colts trailed the Denver Broncos 13-6.  However, after three quarters of play Colts managed to close the gap to three, trailing Denver 16-13.

A late game touchdown by Frank Gore put the Colts within striking distance, but it was not enough as a touchdown from the Broncos defense put the game out of reach.

The Colts fall to 0-2 on the season.
