Deputies: Florida man tries slashing ex’s tires, cuts store owner, crashes into store

HUDSON, Fla. (WFLA) – Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a Pasco man accused of cutting a Hudson store owner and crashing a car into the store’s display windows.

Deputies say William Engle, 27, was meeting his ex-girlfriend at a 7-Eleven store on US Highway 19 Sunday morning when the two got into an argument.

Engle’s boss, the owner of Action Honda in Hudson, was also there to ensure nothing happened.

Officials say Engle brandished a knife and attempted to cut the tires on his ex-girlfriend’s car when Engle’s boss intervened. The boss was got cut on the hand and stomach. He refused any medical attention.

Engle then went to Action Honda to get his car, and used it to ram two showroom doors of the business. Officials estimate the damage to the building is more than $75,000.

Authorities say Engle left the scene on a white Honda motorcycle and is currently wanted by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
