Man found unconscious in vehicle arrested

FARMLAND, Ind. (WISH) – A call of a possible overdose lead to a drug arrest in Farmland Saturday evening.

According to the Indiana State Police, a call came in for a possible overdose at the Village Pantry located in the 100 block of West Jackson Street in Farmland around 8:45 p.m.

After arriving on scene, the trooper discovered two unconscious individuals in a car. The responding trooper provided medical assistance until medical personnel arrived on scene.

One of subjects in the car, Gareth Bowlin, was transported to the Randolph County Hospital and later arrested and taken to the Randolph County Jail.

Bowlin faces preliminary charges of possession of syringe, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and public intoxication.
