Child pulled out of vehicle by carjacking suspect on city’s southeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is looking for a man wanted for carjacking.

Police said the victim involved in the carjacking went inside the A&A Market located at 2458 South State Avenue to make a purchase on Aug. 4.

When he went inside, he left his vehicle running with his 8-year-old son inside the vehicle. Police said that’s when a white male open the vehicle door and then pulled the victim’s son out of the vehicle.

Police said the suspect pulled up his shirt and displayed a silver semi-automatic handgun to the victim, as they approached the vehicle and their son.

The suspect then drove off in the victim’s green 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. The license plate number is TK502MYP.
