IMPD identifies man found dead in car Wednesday morning

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man was found dead in a vehicle at a northwest side apartment complex Wednesday morning, according to police.

Officers were called to Pangea Fields Apartments in the 3300 block of W. 33rd Street, near 30th Street and Tibbs Avenue, just after 5:15 a.m.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has identified him as 23-year-old Renote Hall.

Police found Hall slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle with a head wound, but was unclear at the time if he was shot. The Marion County Coroner’s Office has since determined that he died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Bystanders who said they were friends of Hall told 24-Hour News 8 they’d been looking for him for the past couple days.
