Police said the body was found Sunday morning just before 11:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of Waterfront Drive.

Officers declared the person in the water to be dead on scene. The body was identified Monday morning as belonging to 26-year-old Starr Eldridge of Indianapolis. An exact cause of death has not been determined, but IMPD said it was being investigated as a homicide and there were obvious “signs of trauma” on Eldridge.
