Eric Holcomb lays out education plan, goals

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Republican candidate for governor Eric Holcomb spelled out his plans for improving Indiana schools Monday.

Holcomb released his plan in front of a statewide convention of school board members.  Holcomb and Democrat John Gregg appeared in front of the group Monday morning.

Holcomb’s plan put forth five goals that included more early education and more workforce training.

Gregg released a more detailed plan last week and criticized Holmcomb for being late to the game.

Both recognized education as a top issue in the race.

On Tuesday, both candidates for governor will meet in the first of three debates and education will be the topic.
