Man arrested in connection to west side murder

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) –  Police have arrested one person in connection to a murder on the city’s west side.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, 38-year-old Ralph Tait was taken into custody for the murder of 26-year-old Starr Eldridge.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, Eldridge’s body was discovered in a pond of an apartment complex in the 7100 block of Waterfront Drive.

Tait faces a preliminary charge of murder.

Police said they were assisted by members of the community relaying tips and information about the case.
