Fall is a time for harvesting, but did you know that there is more food at your feet than you realize? Ellen Zachos, author of Backyard Foraging, is giving a free talk on the art of foraging tonight at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. But before she does, she gives us a lesson in plants and what’s more edible than you might think!
– The event is at 7:30 p.m. in DeBoest Lecture Hall.
– Did you know that some of the most popular backyard plants, including hostas and daylilies, are edible? These plants can be harvested to prepare tasty treats such as rose hip soup, dahlia tuber bread, wintergreen sorbet, and even cookies and dried fruit.
