Local teacher wins a year supply of free coffee, $10,000 toward elementary school

(WISH) – It’s National Coffee Day and to help celebrate, Folgers is honoring a local teacher. It’s all part of the “Folgers Perfect Measures” event.

Folgers is giving Kaitlin Baumgartner a year’s supply of free coffee and a $10,000 donation for Spring Mill Elementary School. It’s happened Thursday at 7:30 a.m.

Baumgartner was nominated by her friend.

“She’s a mom to three little kids, she teaches about 25-second graders, and runs a small little business on the side. So, if anybody needs a little pick-me-up, it’s my friend Kaitlin,” Kathy Hodson said.

“Just shocked, surprised at first. Honestly, I thought it was just going to be just a small nice little gift basket, and then I heard that my school go $10,000 and I got free coffee for a year, so it was really cool,” Baumgartner said.

Folgers said it celebrates local heroes who spend their lives giving back to the community.
