US flags to fly half-staff through Friday in honor of Shimon Peres

(WISH) – In honor of Israeli Statesman Shimon Peres, United States flags will fly at half-staff through Friday.

The Nobel Laureate died Tuesday, two weeks after a stroke. He was 93.

President Obama will lead a U.S. Delegation to Israel for Friday’s funeral.

Former President Bill Clinton, who worked and regularly met with Peres while President, will attend the funeral on behalf of the Clinton family.
