INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Some heroes took to the hardwood for a good cause Saturday evening.

Members of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department took on the Indianapolis Fire Department in the Hoop & Heroes basketball showdown.

The victors of the game bring back bragging rights to their respective department. However, the game is also a fundraiser for the Julian Center which supports victims of domestic violence.

IMPD came out on top in tonight’s game.

Last year’s game raised $82,000 for the shelter.
