Police, pastors and city officials meet to stop city’s violence

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Youth pastors, city officials and police officers met Saturday to come up with a plan to stop violence, and improve relationships between the community and the police.

A few dozen people attended Saturday’s meeting.  The group discussed violence in Indianapolis, and then brainstormed way to stop it.

The leader of Saturday’s event said he believes the best way to solve our city’s problems is to really listen to one another.

The group plans to present a 10 point proposal to the city with their ideas.
