Gleaners, Crew CarWash team up to fight hunger

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Gleaners and Crew CarWash are teaming up for the “Hungercrew” fundraiser on Sunday.  Teams at all Indianapolis and Columbus Crew CarWash locations will collect donations for Gleaners.

Anyone who donates cash or a canned foot item will receive a free Fast Wax service. Gleaners works to provide food to the hungry in Central and Southeast Indiana. The organization has partnered with IMPD to provide food to people in some of the most crime-ridden areas of the city.

According to Gleaners, people do not have to donate much in order to make a big difference:

• $1 = 3 meals
• $5 = a backpack of nutritious meals for a child who might otherwise be hungry over the weekend
• $40 = feeds a family of 4 for a month

Most Crew CarWash locations are open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sundays.
