Beech Grove seniors having lunch prepared by chef in honor of National Farm to School Month

BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) – In honor of National Farm to School Month, students at Beech Grove High School raised money for the school’s garden. The winning class was able to choose the lunch menu on Monday.

The seniors raised the most money and will have lunch prepared by a chef. The meal will feature butternut squash, which is grown from a farm in Indiana.

There will be also be a food demonstration given during lunch on cooking squash, and games will be available so students can learn more about local produce and agriculture.

There will be giveaways and prizes, and one lucky student will win a free membership to a local gym.

The festivities begin Monday at 10:50 a.m.
