INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The trial begins on Monday for an Indianapolis father accused of killing his infant son.
Willie Wilson faces murder charges in the death his 6-week old son – Delano. The boy went missing in August 2014.
Wilson took part in some of the search efforts – before being arrested.
In August 2014, Wilson told police his infant son had been ripped from his arms by kidnappers. After a detailed investigation police did not find the baby, but later officers determined that Wilson was responsible for his son’s death.
The FBI uncovered 24 different searches or websites in browser history on Willie Wilson’s phone related to child abduction, missing children, kidnapping and “babies who’ve been abducted and not found,” court documents note. A document about child abductions was downloaded about one hour and 40 minutes before Willie Wilson called 911.
Investigators say the boy is dead – though a body was never recovered.
