Man arrested after allegedly duct taping woman’s wrists and ankles

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – One man is in custody after allegedly battering a woman and duct taping her wrists and ankles.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Thomas Stone is in custody.

Deputies said they initially received a call around 11 a.m. from a woman who claimed that her boyfriend battered her, bound her wrists and ankles with duct tape and pointed a gun at her Sunday evening.  At one point during the night, the woman was able to get out of the residence, according to deputies.

However, deputies said the woman returned to the residence sometime Monday morning. She then reported that her boyfriend battered her again, brandished an AR 15 rifle and made statements that he would hurt himself. The female then left the house once again and call 911 again.

Additional authorities were called to the scene because of the likelihood that suspect was armed and possibly consuming illegal drugs. At that time an arrest warrant was issued for Lee.

After nearly two hours, negotiators and acquaintances of Stone were able to get him to come out of the residence.

After exiting the residence, Stone was taken into custody.  He faces preliminary charges of criminal confinement, intimidation and domestic battery.
