Motor scooter driver dies in crash on city’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis are investigating what caused a fatal crash on the city’s northwest side Monday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the area of West 16th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Street for a single motor scooter crash around 12:50 a.m.

Officers found a male at the scene who was on the motor scooter at the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead by Indianapolis EMS.

It’s not clear what caused the crash. The victim’s identity was pending notification to the family.
