INDIANAPOLIS(WISH) – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department homicide detectives are investigating after a fatal shooting that happened early Monday morning in Broad Ripple.
According to police, officers were sent to the 6300 block of Guilford Avenue after a report of a person shot just before 3 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene, a 22-year-old male approached officers and told them he had been shot. When responding officers arrived on scene, they located a second male who was shot. He was 23-years-old. The two suffered from at least one gunshot wound.
The 23-year-old that was killed has been identified as Tre Spencer.
Medics transported both victims to the hospital. One of the male victims was pronounced dead before arriving to the hospital.
Police are not releasing the other victim’s name at this time.
