Person arrested after committing hit-and-run

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run that occurred October 1.

Authorities say 47-year-old Keith M. Isaacs struck a 16-year-old male on South Jonesville Road.

Once pulled over, Isaccs claimed he had no idea that he had struck someone. Authorities also say that Isaac’s eyes were droopy and his speech was slurred.

Drugs were also found on Issac’s person.

The 16-year-old who was struck was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for hip pain where he was treated and later released.

Isaacs faces preliminary charges of: Operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and possession of methamphetamine.
