Purdue Polytechnic High School announces location

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new high school is now closer to opening its doors in Indianapolis.

Purdue University announced a new partnership between Indianapolis Public Schools and its Polytechnic High School, which is coming to Indy next fall.

Officials also revealed the new school will take over the former PR Mallory Building on Washington and Rural Streets.

The Polytechnic Institute would allow 150 IPS students on its first class, looking to help them to succeed in high school and earn their diploma while being admitted directly to Purdue.

The Purdue Polytechnic High School is chartered by the City of Indianapolis.

Renovations are set to be done by fall 2018.
