Motorcyclist dies following crash in Hendricks County

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Police and fire were responding to a fatal crash in Hendricks County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the crash happened just before 12 p.m. at West U.S. 40 and Masten Road, just west of Stilesville.

Officials say three vehicles were involved, including a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, 39-year-old William Imhausen of Clayton died at the scene. Three others were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

At the time of the crash one vehicle, driven by 44-year-old Mark Dyer, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of U.S. 40. Investigators are still looking into why Dyer was traveling in the wrong direction.

U.S. 40 at Hendricks County Road was closed until 2 p.m. as crews cleared the scene.
