Buddy Walk supports Down Syndrome Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Down Syndrome Indiana’s largest annual event, the Buddy Walk, is happening this weekend.  The 19th Annual Buddy Walk will happen this Saturday, October 8th at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis.

The Buddy Walk is a non-competitive family-friendly event open to all children and adults with Down syndrome, their families, friends and supporters which raises awareness about Down Syndrome and assists those with Down Syndrome.

Nationally, Buddy Walk is the most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community. Locally, it is the largest fundraising event for Down Syndrome Indiana.

Money raised during the event allows Down Syndrome Indiana to be able to continue providing New Parent Packets, educational resources, informational programs, parent support networks, and social events for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
