Outdoor Fall Décor: How to create a beautiful entrance to your home!

This time of year, there are so many wonderful things to decorate our front doors and entry ways with, pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales, gourds…but toss in a few unique items and you really get something spectacular! Master Gardener Carrie Petty shows us how it’s done!

Nothing welcomes our family and friends like a beautiful front entrance:
Don’t forget to forage for the free stuff too! Golden rod and twigs tied with ribbon on a corn stalk adds something extra.

Lanterns are the hot new thing!

lanternIncorporating lanterns into your autumn display brings the look up to date! Never use real candles but instead purchase a set of the battery operated flicker candles. Another great touch is galvanized metals. I love adding buckets, watering cans and odd pieces of galvanized metal to the mix to bring in an updated matt grey look.
