This time of year, there are so many wonderful things to decorate our front doors and entry ways with, pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales, gourds…but toss in a few unique items and you really get something spectacular! Master Gardener Carrie Petty shows us how it’s done!
Nothing welcomes our family and friends like a beautiful front entrance:
Don’t forget to forage for the free stuff too! Golden rod and twigs tied with ribbon on a corn stalk adds something extra.
Lanterns are the hot new thing!
Incorporating lanterns into your autumn display brings the look up to date! Never use real candles but instead purchase a set of the battery operated flicker candles. Another great touch is galvanized metals. I love adding buckets, watering cans and odd pieces of galvanized metal to the mix to bring in an updated matt grey look.
