3 arrested in credit card fraud

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with purchasing laptops using fraudulent credit cards at the Mac Store in the Indiana Memorial Union.

Bloomington police say the incident happened Friday afternoon right after 12:30 p.m.

The suspects came in and purchased 3 laptops. It was then where the employees were notified that the purchases were believed to be made with stolen credit card numbers.

The 3 suspects had previously attempted to make purchases at another store in Bloomington, but were denied.

The suspects were later identified as Marissa Lebron, Nijah Hall and Jeremy Fortson.

Lebron and Fortson are facing initial charges of theft while hall is facing charges of both theft and fraud.

The value of the laptops were totaled at just under $7,000.
