Council meeting over Brightwood eminent domain controversy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A city-county council committee could vote on a controversial new Library location in Brightwood.

The proposal would have the city use “eminent domain” to acquire the land for the project, which means existing business owners would be forced to sell their property.

Council members delayed an August vote to allow more discussion.

The “Municipal Corporations Committee” is set to meet Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
